Answered

Thanks for calling Wrenfield Auto. This is Riley, the shop's AI assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help?

Hi, I need my winter tires put on. Can I get in this week?

Sure. Are your winter tires already on rims, or do they need to be mounted?

On rims. They're in my garage.

Great, that's a swap. What's the vehicle?

A 2019 RAV4.

I have Thursday at 8:00 or Friday at 10:30. A swap on rims takes about 45 minutes here, so you can wait or drop it off.

Thursday at 8. I'll wait. How much is it?

A swap on rims is one flat price, with shop supplies included. If a tire needs a repair or a sensor, the advisor will tell you before any work is done.

Okay, good.

Booked: Thursday at 8:00, winter tire swap on rims, 2019 RAV4, waiting. Can I get your name and a number I can text the confirmation to?

Dana. This number's fine.

Thanks, Dana. You'll get a text now with the time and the address. Reply C to confirm. Anything else?

No, that's it. Thanks.

See you Thursday at 8. Have a good night.

Dana gets a confirmation text. The owner gets: New booking, Thu 8:00, Dana, 2019 RAV4, winter swap on rims, waiting. Booked by phone 7:41 pm.

Call types

The six calls a shop gets, and what Riley does with each

Step by step

A call, second by second

A check-engine call at 12:20 pm. Both advisors are at the counter, so the line rolls to Riley after the number of rings you chose.

1
0:00

Your phone rings first

Conditional forwarding means your counter gets the first rings. Riley picks up only when nobody does, or when the shop is closed. It works behind a cell phone the same way, set up through your carrier on the kickoff call.

2
0:02

Greets with your shop's name and says it's an AI

The AI disclosure and the recording notice are in every greeting. Callers can ask for a person at any point.

3
0:10

Asks what a good advisor asks

Steady or flashing light? Any shaking, smell or loss of power? It sorts safe-to-drive from don't-drive-it, using the list you approve, and leaves the diagnosis to your technician.

4
0:30

Quotes only your diagnostic fee

It never prices a repair. It says the advisor calls with the findings and an estimate before any work starts.

5
0:45

Books the drop-off

Into your calendar or, over a CRM link, your shop system, or as a booking request texted to your advisor. You choose at kickoff.

6
1:05

Texts both of you

The caller gets the time and your address. You get the vehicle, the symptom and the slot.

7
Flashing light

Don't drive it

Shaking, smoke, a fuel smell or overheating: Riley says to stop driving, gives your tow partner's number or takes the location, and texts you marked urgent. Anyone in danger is told to hang up and call 911.

The rules

The lines it holds in a shop

States and provinces regulate estimates and the approval of extra work, and the rules differ. Your script is built around them: estimates and approvals for extra work always go to your advisor.

Diagnosis stays with your technicianA check-engine light can mean a dozen things. Riley says so, asks whether the car is safe to drive, and books the diagnostic. The technician decides what's wrong.
Only the prices on your scriptIt quotes only the prices on your script: the oil change, the swap, the diagnostic fee. Any 'starting at' price includes shop supplies, so the price a customer hears is a price they can pay. Repair totals come from the advisor.
Extra-work approvals go to your advisorYour state or province sets rules on who can authorize added work and how the shop records it. So Riley takes the customer's go-ahead as a message, texts your advisor, and the advisor confirms the total and records the authorization.
Breakdowns: safety first, then the towRiley asks if the caller is safe. Anyone in danger is told to hang up and call 911. Then it gives your tow partner's number or your key-drop instructions, books the morning slot and texts you. It never quotes tow rates or promises a truck.
It says it's an AI, and that the call is recordedIn every greeting, and again if asked. That notice can't be removed. Callers who want a person get one, or a callback.
Real hours on your Google profileGoogle asks for your customer-facing hours, so your profile shows the hours your bays are open, and your site says calls are answered 24/7.

What you get

Beyond the phone

The phone is where a shop loses the job. Get Found and Get Booked bring more of the right calls in, and Get Answered's follow-up brings the customer back next season.

A website with a page per service

Each main service gets its own page: brakes, diagnostics, tires and changeovers, AC, alignment, maintenance. Every site has a click-to-call button that rings Riley, online booking, your hours and your warranty terms. Hosting, security and care come with it, and the site is yours once it's paid for. Part of Get Found.

Local SEO for 'mechanic near me'

Primary category Auto repair shop, plus the secondary categories you actually do: brake shop, tire shop, oil change. Real hours, photos of the bays, your listings cleaned up, steady review follow-up, and a monthly report on where you show up and what it brought in. Local SEO every month, part of Get Found.

Ads aimed at the jobs you want

Google Search for brake, diagnostic and 'mechanic near me' searches, Local Services Ads where Google offers auto categories, and Meta for the spring and fall changeover push. Every call and form tracked, weekly optimization, and a monthly report on what you spent, what rang and what booked. Ad spend goes straight from your card to the platform, in ad accounts you own. See Get Booked.

Follow-up that fills the bays

A hang-up text back when the counter is slammed. A Google review follow-up after every invoice. A nudge on declined work when the customer said 'next time'. All part of Get Answered.

Your rules

You control it. Here's what it never does.

Your script, your prices, your rules. Set with a specialist on the kickoff call, and yours to change.

What you control

  • Which prices it may quote: oil change, swap, diagnostic fee, and the wording for each
  • Your tow partner's number, your key-drop instructions and your don't-drive-it list
  • When calls roll to Riley: on busy, on no answer after your chosen rings, or only when the shop is closed
  • Who gets the transfer for urgent calls, and who gets the texts for go-aheads and messages
  • What it says about diesels, European makes, EVs, fleet accounts and body work
  • Which bookings go straight into your calendar and which arrive as a request to your advisor

What it never does

  • Diagnose a car or guess a repair price
  • Take the approval for extra work. That stays with your advisor.
  • Promise a time or a loaner you didn't approve
  • Pretend to be a person, or drop the recording notice
  • Set your Google profile to 24 hours because it answers 24 hours

What your setup fee builds, item by item

One time, charged at signing with your first month. It pays for the whole build, done for you by one of our specialists, so your receptionist sounds like part of the shop from its very first call.

1
1

A script written for your business

One of our specialists writes your receptionist's script from your kickoff call: how it greets your callers, what it asks, and what it says on every kind of call, from the evening tire-swap rush to the check-engine light at noon. You approve it before it answers a single call.

2
2

Your call flows and emergency rules

Who gets a live transfer and when, what counts as urgent (a breakdown, a no-start in a parking lot, a don't-drive-it symptom), when it tells a caller to hang up and call 911, and when it takes a message and texts you.

3
3

Your price sheet and answers, from your own information

Your hours, services, prices (oil change, swap, diagnostic fee, each in your wording) and the questions your customers ask most, built in so it quotes what you gave it and never guesses.

4
4

Calendar and booking, connected

Booking set up in your calendar or your shop system, connected at kickoff, so it books the drop-off while the caller is still on the line.

5
5

Number forwarding, set up with you

We give you the number to forward to and set it up with you, on busy, on no answer after the rings you choose, or only when the shop is closed. Your number stays yours, and you can un-forward it in a minute.

6
6

Text-message registration with the carriers

We file your business details with the carriers (A2P 10DLC in the US), so confirmations and summaries reach phones.

7

Voice and greeting, tuned to you

A greeting that answers with your shop's name, says it is an AI and that the call is recorded, and sounds right for your shop.

Canada and the US

Canada and the US

Canada Billed in C$

  • Billed in C$, at the price on your Order Form, month to month, cancel any time. No tax is added today; if we're required to register for GST/HST it's added from the date the law requires.
  • About three in four drivers outside Quebec run winter tires (TRAC, 2025 report), so changeover season brings two call rushes a year. Riley books the rush while your advisor sleeps.
  • French as a second language, set up at kickoff. We serve shops in every province except Quebec.
  • Local Services Ads list no auto repair categories in Canada today, so Canadian shops run Google Search and Meta.
  • Any 'starting at' price we put on your site or ads includes mandatory fees like shop supplies. That's the Competition Bureau's drip-pricing rule, and it's how Riley quotes too.

United States Billed in US$

  • Billed in US$, at the price on your Order Form, month to month, cancel any time. We register your business with the carriers for A2P 10DLC at setup, so your confirmations and summaries reach phones.
  • Spanish as a second language, set up at kickoff.
  • Local Services Ads list auto repair, brake, tire, oil change and transmission categories in the US.
  • Estimate and authorization rules differ by state; California and Florida, for example, each regulate written estimates and approvals in their own way. We script to yours at kickoff, and approvals always go to your advisor.
  • Advertised prices include mandatory fees. California's Honest Pricing Law requires it, and we do it everywhere.
Straight answers

Questions shop owners ask

What does a receptionist do at an auto repair shop?

Answers the phone, books drop-offs and waiters, takes 'is my car ready' calls, relays go-aheads to the advisor, and deals with parts reps and wrong numbers. Riley does the same on your existing number, every hour of the year, and texts you after each call. Your advisor keeps the estimate, the approval and the job board.

Will it answer when my advisor is on the other line?

Yes. Forward your number to ours on busy or no answer, after the rings you choose, and every call when you're closed. Calls that reach our line are answered within two rings.

Will it quote prices to my customers?

Only the prices you give it, worded the way you approve: an oil change, a swap, your diagnostic fee. It never guesses a repair price, and it tells callers the advisor confirms the estimate.

Can it take approvals for extra work?

No, by design. It takes the customer's go-ahead as a message, texts your advisor right away, and the advisor confirms the total and records the authorization the way your state or province requires.

Does it work with my shop management system?

Yes. CRM links, in the bigger sizes, connect Riley to the shop system you run, set up at kickoff, so each booking lands with the vehicle, the symptom and the slot. Your advisor also gets it by text.

What does it cost?

Each stage comes in three sizes, and your price is matched to your business on a short call or by email. You see it in writing on a one-page Order Form before you sign, and every monthly service is month to month.

Can it be live before tire season?

Yes. The receptionist is live within 7 business days of your kickoff call, or the Get Answered setup fee comes back if the delay is ours. Book your kickoff a couple of weeks before the changeover rush.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract and no minimum term. You sign a one-page Order Form, every monthly service is month to month, and you can cancel any time by email before your next billing date. Your service runs to the end of the month you've already paid for.

What's refundable?

On Get Answered, your first month is money-back: within 30 days of go-live, email us and the first month's plan fee comes back. No form, no argument. If your receptionist isn't live within 7 business days of kickoff and the delay is ours, your Get Answered setup fee comes back. One refund, not two: if that setup fee comes back under Seven days, Thirty days doesn't also apply. The first half of a website build comes back in full if you cancel in writing before design starts. Otherwise setup fees, monthly fees, add-ons, projects and extra minutes are not refunded.

What does the setup fee cover?

The whole build, done for you, one time. One of our specialists writes your script from your kickoff call and you approve it before it answers a single call. The setup also covers your call flows and emergency rules, your price sheet and answers from your own information, calendar and booking connected, number forwarding set up with you, text-message registration with the carriers where texting is used, your voice and greeting, test calls before go-live, and the go-live checklist. It's charged once, at signing with your first month, and the Seven Days promise stands behind it: live within 7 business days of kickoff, or, if the delay is ours, the Get Answered setup fee comes back.
