How it works

From your first call to your first report.

Every step from the first call to a live stage, what we need from you along the way, and exactly what happens when your phone rings. The same path for Get Found, Get Answered and Get Booked, for businesses in Canada and the US.

Step by step

From first call to go-live

The same five steps for every stage. You see the price, the scope and that it's month to month before you pay, and you approve the work before it goes live.

1
Call

Your fix-list call

15 to 30 minutes on video with one of our specialists. Nothing to prepare. You dial a receptionist that already answers with your business name, see where you show up when someone nearby searches, and leave with a written list of what to fix, whether or not you hire us.

2
Quote

Your quote and the Order Form

We match the stage and the size to your business, on the call or by email. The one-page Order Form lists what you're getting, the price and how it's paid, month to month with no long-term contract. You pay by card or Canadian pre-authorized debit through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

3
Day 0

Kickoff

A call with one of our specialists. Your hours, your services, your service area, what counts as urgent, the calendar it books into, the pages your site needs and the jobs your ads should bring in. The clock starts here.

4
Build

We build it, you approve it

Your receptionist's script, your website, your Google profile, your campaigns: whichever stage you chose. You read it, test it and change what you want before anything goes live.

5
Live

Go-live, then the report

Your receptionist is live within 7 business days of kickoff. Your website is built to launch about 14 business days after you approve the content. Your ads start spending once you approve the campaign. Then every month, one report on what it all brought in.

Get Found

Your website, your Google profile and your Local SEO.

The same kickoff, then the work for the size you chose. A website launch is a target we plan to; your Local SEO starts the day we send your first audit and plan.

1
Build

Your website

Built to make the phone ring: fast on a phone, click-to-call up top, booking built in. Built to launch about 14 business days after you approve the content. It goes live once it's paid in full, and it's yours from then on.

2
Profile

Your Google profile and listings

Your Google Business Profile rebuilt and kept current, your own review link, QR review cards and a tap-to-review stand, and your listings cleaned up under one name, address and phone.

3
Every month

Local SEO, in the bigger sizes

It starts the day we send your first audit and plan: new service and town pages, citations, technical checks and rank tracking. Your first report follows 30 days later.

Get Answered

Kickoff to a live receptionist in 7 business days.

Kickoff to Day 7 is what your setup fee pays for: your script, your call flows and emergency rules, your answers, your calendar connected, forwarding set up with you, your business registered with the carriers, a voice and greeting tuned to you, and the test calls and go-live checklist.

1
Day 0

Kickoff call

The 7-business-day clock starts. We go through your hours, your services, what the receptionist may quote, who's on call, what counts as urgent, what it must never say, and which calendar it books into. If your business line is a cell phone, we set up conditional call forwarding through your carrier on this call, ready to switch on.

2
Days 1–2

One of our specialists writes your script

Built from your kickoff answers. The greeting, which answers with your business name and says it's an AI and that the call is recorded. Your services. The prices it may quote and the times it may offer. Your call flows: who gets put through, what counts as urgent, when it tells a caller to hang up and call 911. The lines it must never say. You read every word and change anything.

3
Days 3–5

You make the test calls

It's built and tested on our line first. Then you call your own receptionist from your own phone. Try the leak at 9 p.m., the price question, the caller who wants a time you don't offer, the caller who asks if it's a robot. We change the script until it sounds like you.

4
Day 6

Forwarding

Landline or office phone system: you forward your number to us, and we set it up with you. Cell phone: the conditional forwarding we set up at kickoff goes on, so calls you don't pick up come to us. Either way, you can un-forward in a minute, any time. The number stays yours.

5
Day 7

Live

The go-live checklist is done: script approved, test calls passed, forwarding on, booking connected. Calls that reach our line are answered within two rings, every hour of the year. If we're late and the delay is ours, your Get Answered setup fee comes back.

6
First 30 days

Your first month back if it's not for you

Not for you in the first 30 days after go-live? Email us and the first month's plan fee comes back. No form, no argument. Once per client; setup, add-ons, projects and extra minutes are not refunded.

Get Booked

Your ads, from plan to live campaign.

The same kickoff, then the campaigns for the size you chose. Nothing spends until you approve it.

1
Build

Accounts and tracking

We open the ad accounts in your name, or step into the ones you have, and put a tracking number on every campaign. Landing pages and form tracking come in the bigger sizes.

2
Approve

You approve the campaign

Nothing spends until you've approved the ads, the budget and the pages they land on. Approval by email is enough.

3
Live

Spend starts

Built for your market on Google, Local Services, Microsoft and Meta, from one channel up to all four. Ad spend goes straight from your card to the platform, and your report shows every tracked call.

Get Answered

Get Answered: what happens on a live call

Here is the path a call takes once your line is live, from the first ring to the summary on your phone.

1
0:00

It rings on our line

Answered within two rings, every hour of the year. Your caller doesn't hear a hold tone or a voicemail greeting from us.

2
0:02

It says who it is

Your business name, then: this is Riley, the AI receptionist. It says it's an AI in every greeting, and again whenever a caller asks.

3
0:10

It finds out what the caller needs

It follows your script. An emergency gets the safety questions you set. A life-safety caller is told to hang up and call 911. An urgent job is put through to your on-call person.

4
0:45

It books, puts the call through, or takes a message

Booking goes into your calendar or scheduling tool, connected at kickoff. It only offers times you approved and only quotes prices you gave it. If it doesn't know, it says so and takes a message.

5
After

The confirmation and your summary go out

The caller gets a confirmation by text and email. You get a text and email summary: who called, what they needed, what was booked, and what needs a call back.

6
Month end

It shows up in your report

Every call is a line in the monthly report. You review the summaries and make the business decisions. The receptionist follows the script you approved.

Get Answered

What you control, and what it never does

The script is yours. These are the lines it stays inside no matter what a caller says.

What you control

  • Your greeting and your business name
  • The services it talks about and the prices it may quote
  • The times it may offer and the calendar it books into
  • Who's on call, and what counts as urgent
  • What it must never say or promise
  • Your hours and your holidays

What it never does

  • Pretend to be human. It says it's an AI in the greeting and whenever asked.
  • Guess a price it wasn't given.
  • Promise a time you didn't approve.
  • Give clinical, legal or financial advice.
  • Handle a life-safety emergency itself. Those callers are told to hang up and call 911.
  • Leave you guessing. You get a text and email summary after every call.

After the call

The follow-up, in texts.

What you see after a call, then what your caller sees. First the owner's summary, then the caller's confirmation.

What changes for your team

Nobody gets replaced. The phone just stops running the day.

The phone stops interrupting the front desk

Calls that reach our line are answered within two rings. Your team finishes with the patient, the customer at the counter, or the job in front of them, and reads the summary after.

Voicemail stops being a job

No more dialling in at 7 a.m. Call summaries come to your phone and your inbox: who called, what they needed, what was booked, what needs a call back.

The on-call person only gets real emergencies

Your script decides what's urgent. Those calls are put through live. Everything else is booked, or left as a message for the morning.

You stay in charge

You review the call summaries and make the business decisions. The receptionist follows the script you approved. Change the script whenever you want.

Questions owners ask before kickoff

How long until it's live?

Your receptionist is live within 7 business days of your kickoff call; if we're late and the delay is ours, your Get Answered setup fee comes back. A website is built to launch about 14 business days after you approve the content. Ads start spending once you approve the campaign.

What do you need from me?

Your answers on the kickoff call, a read of what we build, and your test calls. We write the script, build the site and the campaigns, and set up forwarding with you.

Do I have to start with Get Found?

No. Start with the stage you need most. On your call, one of our specialists explains what to have in place first and why, and you choose.

Why is there a setup fee?

It pays for the build, done by one of our specialists. For Get Answered: your script, call flows and emergency rules, calendar and booking, number forwarding, text-message registration with the carriers and the test calls, with the Seven Days promise behind it. For Get Booked: the ad accounts, the campaigns and the call tracking, plus landing pages in the bigger sizes. Get Found has a website build fee instead, half to start and half before launch. How pricing works.

My business line is my cell phone. Does this still work?

Yes. We set up conditional call forwarding through your carrier on the kickoff call, so calls you don't pick up come to us. Two rings counts from the moment the forward reaches our line.

What does it book into?

Your calendar or scheduling tool: Google Calendar, Calendly, and most calendars and the common trade and clinic systems, connected at kickoff. It only offers the times you approved.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract and no minimum term. You sign a one-page Order Form, every monthly service is month to month, and you can cancel any time by email before your next billing date. Your service runs to the end of the month you've already paid for.

Who owns my number and data?

You do. You forward your number to us and can un-forward it in a minute. Recordings, transcripts and customer data are yours, and your website is yours once it's paid for.

What if it doesn't know something?

It says so, takes a message, and texts you. It never guesses a price or promises a time you didn't approve.
